The owners--husband and wife team Sascha and Yellymary--call it a “Wine Bar with a Beer problem.” A German and a Puerto Rican walk into a Wine Bar... It's not the setup for a joke, but the start of an intensely multicultural wine & craft beer bar.

 

Born and raised in Germany, Sascha has a working knowledge of more than 300 beers. Puerto Rican native Yellymary’s passion for  wine started after exploring European culture with her husband. She is a Court of Masters Sommelier and WSET Level 2 Wine & Spirits Certified.  She recently accomplished her Spanish Wine Scholar Guild Certification with Merit. She also attended Law School in Puerto Rico while Sascha finished his MBA.

 

After meeting while Sascha was a foreign exchange student and marrying 16 years ago, the couple lived and traveled through Europe. While there they decided to move to Florida to share all they had learned and tasted. Vineyards of the World opened its doors in Downtown Clermont on 2011 and they developed a steadily growing clientele. They closed VOW after 5 successful years setting a goal for a bigger and better place and experience.

 

Like that the paths of destiny led them to beautiful Downtown Sanford where they decided to open Luisa's Cellar as a tribute to Mary's grandmother. Luisa's Cellar offers an unique experience offering a wide variety of flavors perfectly paired with an outstanding beer and wine list. They have added a bottle shop and coffee shop along with a dessert room. All the menus change regularly in order to offer new things to taste.
